Connect to Oracle 10g 2005-05-25 - By Stefan Sturm
Hello,
I installed Oracle 10g on my Suse 9.3 Box. Everything went fine, I created a new Tablespace, created a new user and imported a dump from Version 8.x. Everything is OK. All this a made with the User oracle.
But now I want to connect to Oracle using a different user(the user who runs apache). But when I use sqlplus i get this error: ERROR: ORA-12162 (See ORA-12162.ora-code.com): TNS:net service name is incorrectly specified
Then I tried tnsping with this answer: TNS Ping Utility for Linux: Version 10.1.0.3.0 - Production on 25-MAY-2005 14 :19:00

Used parameter files: /home/urkman/apps/oracle/product/9ir2/network/admin/sqlnet.ora
Used TNSNAMES adapter to resolve the alias Attempting to contact (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = oraclelinux.site)(PORT = 1521)) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE _NAME = mofl))) OK (10 msec)
So, where is my error?
